Hockey

Hockey is a team sport played on ice or field, where players use sticks to hit a puck or ball into the opposing team’s goal to score points. In ice hockey, the game takes place on an ice rink, featuring six players from each team, including a goalie. The sport is known for its fast-paced action, physicality, and skillful maneuvering. Field hockey, on the other hand, is played on grass or artificial turf and involves two teams of eleven players each. The primary objective in both variations is to outscore the opponent by shooting the puck or ball into their goal. Hockey has a rich tradition and is enjoyed globally, with professional leagues, national teams, and international competitions culminating in events like the Winter Olympics and the Hockey World Cup for both ice and field hockey.
